The next batch of Limited Run Games products go on sale today, and as with most of the company’s products, you’ll have to be quick when the sale starts – lest you end up missing out after 20 minutes.
As a love letter to the Metroidvania genre, Xeodrifter never quite managed to distinguish itself from the source of its influences, with IGN giving the game 6.5/10 whilst The Vita Lounge gave it 2.5/5. But that’s not to say that the game doesn’t have its fans, with Neogaf user metsallica stating “Absolutely loved this and the Brian Altano music during the credits was a nice surprise. Please don’t balk at the price, it’s completely worth it“.
Lost Sea however is a mish-mash of genres, but mostly takes elements of rogue like games, RPG mechanics, and some Diablo style loot gathering. It’s meant to be “ok” and looks like a high budget mobile phone game (although I’m not sure if that’s a bad thing). Stevivor gave the game 6/10 whilst Playstation Country gave it 5/10.
As with previous Limited Run Games releases, the games will go on sale in two batches – 10AM EDT and 6PM EDT. So that’s 3pm and 11pm UK time respectively.
